Caribbean Kizomba Festival

Internationally inspired Kizomba instruction, private training &
curated dance experiences.
KIZBB was created to raise the standard of Kizomba in Barbados through structured instruction, international training, authentic exposure to the global Kizomba community, and unforgettable social experiences.
We teach dancers to understand Kizomba—not simply memorize movements.
STRUCTURED INSTRUCTION.
REAL UNDERSTANDING.
CONFIDENT DANCERS.

BEGINNER KIZOMBA FUSION · HILTON HOTEL, BARBADOS
Six defining strengths that separate KIZBB from other Kizomba schools in Barbados.
Ongoing training with internationally recognised instructors and dancers, bringing global knowledge directly into every KIZBB class.
Extensive hands-on experience across diverse Kizomba styles, with a deep understanding of the dance's fundamentals, techniques, musicality, and creativity.
Regular participation in international Kizomba festivals, workshops and social events, keeping our teaching connected to the global community.
Structured teaching backed by professional training, international certification and a clear methodology — not improvised choreography.
International techniques, teaching methods and dance experience brought back to Barbados and refined for dancers here.
Advanced modern Kizomba, built on refined technique, deeper musical understanding and a broader movement vocabulary.
At KIZBB, we believe teaching Kizomba carries a responsibility.
We do not teach dancers to simply repeat steps. We teach them to understand timing, connection, musicality, technique, movement quality and the cultural foundation that give Kizomba its true identity.
Our approach is built on continued learning, international exposure and respect for the dance itself. We do not believe a few weeks of experience is enough to begin teaching for money. We believe instructors should first take the time to study, develop and truly understand what they are passing on.
Technique. Rhythm. Flavour. Understanding.
Authentic instruction should prepare a dancer to dance anywhere — not only in Barbados.
RESPECT THE DANCE,
HONOUR THE CULTURE,
TEACH IT RIGHT

KIZBB at the Jesus Y Anni Bootcamp in Toronto, Canada.
IN JUST TWO YEARS, KIZBB ACHIEVED UNPRECEDENTED MILESTONES IN BARBADOS — ELEVATING KIZOMBA BEYOND ANYTHING PREVIOUSLY SEEN ON THE ISLAND THROUGH INTERNATIONAL TRAINING, CERTIFICATION, FESTIVAL EXPERIENCE, GLOBAL CONNECTIONS AND EVENT INNOVATION.
KIZBB ALSO HELPED PUT BARBADOS ON THE REGIONAL KIZOMBA MAP AND BECAME THE FIRST BARBADOS-BASED KIZOMBA ORGANIZATION TO TEACH KIZOMBA IN ANOTHER COUNTRY.
Before KIZBB, many people across the Caribbean were largely unaware that Kizomba even had a presence in Barbados. Today, through KIZBB's regional teaching, international festival participation, training and stronger connections with the wider Kizomba community, that has changed significantly. Barbados is now far more visible within the regional Kizomba scene.
We have travelled overseas for festivals, teaching and training; earned international certification; taken private instruction with world-class dancers and instructors; helped introduce new Kizomba event concepts and dance styles to Barbados; and launched the island's first all-Kizomba party. We also coordinated the island's first ever four-day mini Kizomba festival.

TEACHING ABROAD · INTERNATIONAL WORKSHOP

INTERNATIONAL INSTRUCTORS AUREA & TRESOR
International festivals give KIZBB access to some of the most respected teachers and dancers within the global Kizomba community.
Beyond workshops and social dancing, KIZBB deliberately invests in PRIVATE TEACHING SESSIONS with leading international instructors and dancers.
This provides focused instruction, technical correction, and deeper insight that is difficult to gain from group classes and workshops alone.

Each destination we visited represents festival participation, workshops, private training, instructor development and real cultural exposure — not just travel.

Traditional foundations. Modern expression. One connected dance.
Kizomba Fusion is the primary teaching style at KIZBB.
Our approach is built on strong Kizomba foundations — connection, timing, lead-and-follow technique, musicality and control — while also incorporating modern influences from contemporary Kizomba, Urban Kiz, body movement and evolving partner-work techniques.
The goal is not to abandon the roots of Kizomba. It is to give dancers a broader movement vocabulary, greater musical freedom and more options for expression while maintaining connection, technique and control.
KIZBB teaches dancers to understand the dance — not simply memorize patterns.
Timing, posture, connection and core Kizomba principles.
Clear communication, connection and partner awareness.
Learning how to interpret different rhythms, textures and energy within the music.
Contemporary techniques, movement ideas and stylistic influences — always grounded in proper technique.
Kizomba Fusion gives dancers the flexibility to move comfortably across different social environments and adapt to different musical styles and partners.
It is designed to help dancers become more complete, confident and expressive — not limited to one set of patterns or one way of moving.
New to Kizomba or refining your technique — every route is built around your goals.

Rhythm, connection, technique and confidence, developed in a social and supportive room.

Personalised instruction focused entirely on your development and pace.

Learn together with focused guidance on partnership, frame and shared timing.

Faster development, focused correction and deeper technical training.
WE TEACH
UNDERSTANDING,
NOT JUST SEQUENCES.
Our approach is designed to help students understand the dance — how it works, why it works, and how to make it their own.
Weight, walk and the pulse the whole dance is built on.
Clear intention from one partner, true responsiveness from the other.
The close embrace held with control, comfort and respect.
Hearing the underlying music beneath the song.
Isolation, posture and the quiet elegance that reads on a dark floor.
How to invite, how to decline, how to make every partner feel safe.
Modern Kizomba and fusion vocabulary, used with taste rather than volume.
The ability to walk into any social, anywhere, and dance.
Curated Kizomba events Barbados dancers travel across the island for — each one staged, scored and lit to its own character.

Our flagship monthly social — a grand floor, the island's best DJs and an elegant Kizomba crowd.

Unique venues. Different themes. Same KIZBB standard.

Built entirely around mood, lighting, music and connection. Low light. Deep rhythms.

Experience authentic Kizomba culture alongside the global community.
PRIVATE TRAINING.PERSONAL ATTENTION.FASTER PROGRESS.
Private Kizomba lessons in Barbados, shaped entirely around your goals, your pace and the specific things standing between you and the confidence you want on the floor.
A plan built around your goals, not a class syllabus.
Precise adjustments to posture, frame, walk and lead.
Learning to hear the song and answer your partner.
Weeks of group-class progress inside a single session.
Serious learning, and a room people come back to. Both matter equally.

I never knew Kizomba existed in Barbados, but after dancing with a certain someone, Barbados is officially at the top of my bucket list.

COMMUNITY · KIZ AT THE HILTON
“What I enjoyed most about the class was how simple the instructor made the dance to learn, while keeping the sensuality and connection. He was also very professional and made the class fun & very engaging. I would recommend it to anyone!"
KIM M. (COSTA RICA)
PRIVATE 1-TO-1 TRAINING
“My then fiancee and I (who do not dance at all!) were recommended to book with him as we prepared for the first dance of our wedding. Waylon was patient, encouraging and focused on teaching the fundamentals then gradually putting all the pieces together to what led to an amazing first dance for us when it happened!”
